How it works
Messaging itself is never charged. Once a match exists, you and that member can write and record as much as you like, on the free plan and on Premium alike. There are no message credits, no per-thread charge and no messaging caps.

If a paid approach becomes undeliverable because the recipient blocks the sender, the credit is returned automatically. You are charged for reaching someone, not for the attempt being refused.
