Identity: who you are talking to
Identity verification is open to every member rather than sold as a premium extra. A member submits a government-issued document, a moderator reviews it, and the verified state then unlocks the capabilities that depend on trust — including the free daily voice-approach credits.
Verification covers the person behind the account. It is deliberately separate from voice screening, which covers the recording itself, because the two failure modes are different: a real person can upload a fabricated clip, and a fabricated account can upload a genuine one.
Recordings: screened before delivery
A synthetic voice can now be produced from a few seconds of reference audio, so any product asking people to trust strangers has to assume it will be attempted. Voice XO analyses each voice introduction and each voice message for synthesis markers before it becomes audible to the person it was sent to.
Clips that fail are withheld, not delivered with a caution label. Detection is a moving target rather than a solved problem, so members can report anything that sounds wrong and those reports are reviewed by moderators.
Privacy: encryption and data
Conversations are end-to-end encrypted. There is no switch to find and no setting to get wrong, because a privacy feature only works when it is the default.

Reporting and appeals
Any profile, recording or message can be reported from inside the app, and blocking is immediate. When a paid voice approach becomes undeliverable because of a block, the credit is returned automatically.
Moderation decisions are contestable. A member who believes a decision was wrong can open a case at the appeals page and have it reviewed by a person.
